Pilot Healing Garden Thriving

Like so many of you, we are loving this time of year with abundant harvests.

Like so many of you, we are loving this time of year with abundant harvests. Our 15 year old Produce Program at Room One is going strong with offerings of fruit from OPMA, fresh strawberries and cherry tomatoes from Red Shed Produce, microgreens from Willow Brook Farm, and CSAs (bags of Community Supported Agriculture) from Hoodoo Blooms Farm this week.

And this year, we have been able to see the produce growing first hand at our pilot healing garden in Twisp. Room One staff and volunteers work there every week, joined by clients who find it a safe and nurturing place. One of our biggest joys is seeing these women step up into teaching roles within the garden - shining and sharing their light after surviving so much trauma in their lives previously. We give special thanks to volunteers Susan Ernsdorff and Darlene Sallee for their steadfast leadership in the garden!
