One of the best things about being part of a community is having awesome neighbors! As Room One has been looking to expand its food access program, Seven Stars Farm (south of Carlton) expressed interest in providing beef for the project. Adding high-quality, pasture-raised meats to our list of offerings ensures that the families we serve are receiving high quality nutrition and amazing flavors. With the purchase of locally grown foods, funding for our food access program is able to stay local, supporting not only our direct clients but also farmers and processors. Farmer Eve Russell shared: "There are plenty of barriers to affording high quality food. Farm to food pantry partnerships like this can help overcome those obstacles. Sharing food builds community".
