American Legion

Honoring Veterans, and those who serve them

We are fortunate in the Methow Valley to have American Legion Post 143 focusing on veterans needs.

We are fortunate in the Methow Valley to have American Legion Post 143 focusing on veterans needs. We wanted to lift up just some of the good they are doing in our community. In a recent update, American Legion Commander Keith Morden shared some examples of what their members have done this year: - Built a ramp for someone in a wheelchair- Repaired a sidewalk to enable an elderly vet to get into his home safely with his walker- Provided free rides to a vet who had knee replacement surgery to his doctor and physical therapy sessions- Held a food drive to help the Cove with money and food- Assisted a widow with burial expenses for her husband when his life insurance fell short- Helped a veteran winterize his home to stay warm this winterIt truly takes all of us to make this community work. Thank you veterans for your contributions near and far.
