Title: Finance and HR Manager

Reports to: Executive Director

Pay: $26-$28/hour DOE

Current Benefits: Employer-paid vacation, sick, and parental leave. Health, dental, and vision insurance for employees, and 401K match option after 1000 hours worked (6-12 months). Benefits are variable year to year depending on budget and board and staff input.

Hours: Full-Time: 32-36 hours (4 days/week)

You enjoy creative problem solving and working to staff with program budgets, grants management, and addressing HR issues. You are a confidential, approachable ally for staff who are struggling, and are a welcoming presence in moving through initial employment phases for all staff. You thrive in a high-energy environment, and can provide a steady calming force when working on tight deadlines. You are an independent worker who can set priorities and move through weekly, monthly, and annual required tasks, and are also adaptable when a time-sensitive request comes through. You are an essential part of our leadership team, working closely with our Executive Director and Managing Director on fundraising, grants management, preparing reports for board members, and staying attuned to what staff, the organization, and community needs.

We are a social services and community advocacy organization serving the Methow Valley and extending into greater Okanogan County. We use three primary approaches to achieve our vision of a connected community where all people have the opportunity to thrive: meaningful direct services, prevention programs, and advocacy for change. Our program areas include a walk-in One-Stop Support Center, Youth Homelessness Program, teen pregnancy prevention, parenting programs, and advocacy along with partners in housing, affordable high-quality childcare, improved domestic violence response, food access, and access to reproductive healthcare. The Finance and HR Manager works as part of a team, creating a sustainable and accountable organization, working toward a rural valley where all ages feel safe, supported, and encouraged by people who understand and respect them.

Unique Requirements of the Finance and HR Manager position:

  • Experience with Payroll and Benefits, payroll taxes, personnel policies

  • Experience with Quickbooks and Excel

  • Experience or comfort with conflict management and confidential/sensitive issues

  • Experience with budgeting, financial tracking and reporting, non-profit accounting

  • Willingness to jump in for building and grounds management, supply ordering, and other office management duties as needed.
